Runway to Runway | 2016–2019

What began with a simple idea, connecting the airport runway to the fashion runway, became a three-year creative journey across some of the world's biggest fashion weeks.

Developed by Ben Everden for IMG and Etihad Airways, the Runway to Runway concept provided the creative foundation for an ongoing series of films and photography documenting the people, places and experiences behind the international fashion industry.

Working across New York, London, Paris, Sydney, Mumbai and Abu Dhabi, we travelled with some of fashion's most recognisable faces, including Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Martha Hunt and Georgia Fowler, alongside designers such as Australia's Romance Was Born.

The resulting Model Diaries series offered a more personal perspective on an industry constantly in motion. From long-haul flights and early morning fittings to backstage preparations and discovering new cities, the films captured everything that happens between the shows.

Our work with Etihad also extended beyond fashion week. As title sponsor of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the airline brought us to Yas Marina Circuit, where we documented its presence throughout the race weekend, alongside Chanel Iman's visit, through film and photography.

Over three years, the project grew into an extensive collection of original films, portraits and travel photography, bringing together fashion, culture, sport and the experience of travelling the world with Etihad Airways.

The collection also includes a film documenting the DVF × Etihad collaboration, edited by Ben Everden, who also directed its animation.
